Cancellation policies

Class cancellation policy

 

Class cancellation must be made via the studio's online booking system or mobile app up to two (2) hours prior to a class start time to avoid being charged. This allows others enough time to take the opportunity to book into the class if they wish. Cancellations will not be accepted via phone or email.

 

If you do not attend a booked session or cancel inside of the two (2) hour window, you will be charged for the class.

 

If you do not attend a booked class or late cancel a booking two (2) or more times within any two (2) week period, your online booking privileges will be suspended until further notice.

Event/workshop cancellation policy

 

No refunds are given for events/workshops.

 

We are happy to give credit in classes for an equal amount if you give at least 24 hours notice that you won’t be attending. This allows others enough time to take the opportunity to book in for the event/workshop if they wish.

 

 

Private classes (in studio)

 

If you cancel a private class:

 

  • At least 24 hours before the class you will get 100% refund, minus any payment processing fees;

  • At least 2 hours before the class you will be charged 50% of the class fee;

  • Less than 2 hours before class you will be charged 100% of the class fee.

Corporate classes (outside studio)

 

If you cancel a corporate class:

 

  • At least 48 hours before the class you will get 100% refund, minus any payment processing fees;

  • At least 12 hours before the class you will be charged 50% of the class fee;

  • Less than 12 hours before class you will be charged 100% of the class fee.

Pass policies

Pass extensions (Casual, 5 or 10 class passes)

 

If you need an extension on your pass we request you purchase a new pass and we can add on any remaining credits from your about-to-expire pass to your new pass.

Membership holds (Weekly direct debit)

 

You can place your membership on hold for a minimum of two (2) weeks, and maximum of three (3) months. We require a minimum of two (2) weeks written notice emailed to hello@thelittleyogastudio.com.au in order to place your membership on hold. Except under exceptional circumstances, your membership may only be paused two (2) times in any calendar year.

 

 

Direct debit cancellation

 

After the initial minimum twelve (12) week period, your membership may be cancelled at any time via the app, or via written request emailed to hello@thelittleyogastudio.com.au.

Limitation of liability

By booking into yoga classes at The little yoga studio Karratha, you are acknowledging that you are aware that yoga includes physical movements as well as an opportunity for relaxation, stress re-education and relief of muscular tension. As is the case with any physical activity, the risk of injury, even serious or disabling, is always present and cannot be entirely eliminated. If you experience any pain or discomfort, you need to listen to your body, discontinue the activity, and ask for support from the instructor. You assume full responsibility for any and all damages which may occur through participation.

Yoga is not a substitute for medical attention, examination, diagnosis or treatment. Yoga is not recommended and is not safe under certain medical conditions. By booking a class, you affirm that a licensed physician has verified your good health and physical condition to participate in such a fitness program, if required. In addition, you will make the instructor aware of any medical conditions or physical limitations before class. If you are pregnant, become pregnant or are post-natal or post-surgical, your agreement to participate verifies that you have your physician’s approval to participate. You also affirm that you alone are responsible to decide whether to practice yoga, and participation is at your own risk. By booking into classes at The little yoga studio Karratha you agree to irrevocably release and waive any claims that you have now or may have hereafter against The little yoga studio Karratha and all related facilities and premises, from any personal injury or negligence. Additionally, the facility, instructors and The little yoga studio Karratha are not in any way responsible for any loss or damage of your personal property.

If any portion of this release from liability shall be deemed by a court of competent jurisdiction to be invalid, then the remainder of this release from liability shall remain in full force and effect and the offending provision or provisions severed here from.

Privacy policy

The little yoga studio Karratha is committed to providing quality services to you and this policy outlines our ongoing obligations to you in respect of how we manage your personal information.

 

We have adopted the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs) contained in the Privacy Act 1988. The APPs govern the way in which we collect, use, disclose, store, secure and dispose of your personal information.

What is personal information and why do we collect it?

 

Personal information is information or an opinion that identifies an individual. Examples of personal information we collect include names, addresses, email addresses and phone numbers.

This personal information is obtained in many ways including correspondence, by telephone and by email, via our website www.thelittleyogastudio.com.au, from media and publications, from other publicly available sources, from cookies and from third parties. We don’t guarantee website links or policy of authorised third parties.

 

We collect your personal information for the primary purpose of providing our services to you, providing information to our clients and marketing. We may also use your personal information for secondary purposes closely related to the primary purpose, in circumstances where you would reasonably expect such use or disclosure. You may unsubscribe from our mailing/marketing lists at any time by contacting us in writing.

 

When we collect personal information we will, where appropriate and where possible, explain to you why we are collecting the information and how we plan to use it.

Sensitive information

 

Sensitive information is defined in the Privacy Act to include information or opinion about such things as an individual's racial or ethnic origin, political opinions, membership of a political association, religious or philosophical beliefs, membership of a trade union or other professional body, criminal record or health information.

 

Sensitive information will be used by us only:

•           For the primary purpose for which it was obtained

•           For a secondary purpose that is directly related to the primary purpose

•           With your consent; or where required or authorised by law.

Third parties

 

Where reasonable and practicable to do so, we will collect your personal information only from you. However, in some circumstances we may be provided with information by third parties. In such a case we will take reasonable steps to ensure that you are made aware of the information provided to us by the third party.

Disclosure of personal information

 

Your personal information may be disclosed in a number of circumstances including the following:

•           Third parties where you consent to the use or disclosure; and

•           Where required or authorised by law.

Security of personal information

 

Your personal information is stored in a manner that reasonably protects it from misuse and loss and from unauthorized access, modification or disclosure.

 

When your personal information is no longer needed for the purpose for which it was obtained, we will take reasonable steps to destroy or permanently de-identify your personal information. However, most of the personal information is or will be stored in client files which will be kept by us for a minimum of 7 years.

Access to your personal information

 

You may access the personal information we hold about you to update and/or correct it, subject to certain exceptions. If you wish to access your personal information, please contact us in writing.

 

The little yoga studio Karratha will not charge any fee for your access request but may charge an administrative fee for providing a copy of your personal information.

 

In order to protect your personal information, we may require identification from you before releasing the requested information.

Maintaining the quality of your personal information

 

It is an important to us that your personal information is up to date. We will take reasonable steps to make sure that your personal information is accurate, complete and up-to-date. If you find that the information we have is not up to date or is inaccurate, please advise us as soon as practicable so we can update our records and ensure we can continue to provide quality services to you.
